Applied LLM / ML Engineer
ChatPlace is a SaaS platform for promotion and sales through content on Instagram*, Telegram, and TikTok. We create tools for content generation and audience communication automation: AI agents, chatbots, auto-funnels, gamification, and other mechanics that help businesses grow without a large budget or technical complexity.
We are looking for an Applied LLM / ML Engineer to help build and develop production-ready LLM systems: so that content and dialogues are stable, predictable, measurable in quality, and understandable in operation.
What you will do:
- Design and improve LLM systems for content generation (posts, carousels, scripts, visuals/videos) and audience communication automation (agents/bots: qualification, responses, guiding to a target action).
- Assemble the "agent architecture": context/memory/state, rules, knowledge base, routing, fallback.
- Build quality control: golden set, quality rubrics for different scenarios, regression checks, A/B testing.
- Set up monitoring and understand "why it got worse" from logs and traces.
- Work in conjunction with backend/devops/frontend: API contracts, retries, provider limits, pipeline versions, feature flags.
- Iteratively improve the system based on feedback from expert creators and service users.
Our ideal candidate:
- 4+ years in ML/LLM/Applied ML or related engineering (real-world cases are more important than titles).
- Experience bringing LLM/GenAI solutions to a production system: guardrails, fallback, eval, monitoring.
- Proficient Python (or Node) at the level of prototypes, wrappers, batch runs, and result analysis.
- Understanding of engineering fundamentals: API, retries/timeouts, rate limits, logging, versioning, feature flags.
- Ability to think product-first and independently draw conclusions about the quality of generations/dialogues.
- Will be a plus: Agentic workflows (state/memory/routing/policy), RAG / knowledge base, cost/latency optimization, multilingual scenarios, workflow tools (n8n/Make).
Format and conditions:
- Salary is discussed individually, depending on experience and level of independence.
- Remote work within a strong engineering team. Flexible schedule. Results-oriented work with a reasonable level of freedom.
- High level of independence and influence on key product directions: content and agents.
- Fast-growing product with global market entry.
- Various employment formats, including work outside of the Russian Federation.
- We are an accredited IT company.
- Instagram is owned by Meta, recognized as an extremist organization and banned in the Russian Federation.
