I'm Maria, head of the operational efficiency development department for goods movement.
We are forming a new direction — an AI Laboratory. Our goal is not just to automate routine operations using ML/AI, but to ambitiously rethink familiar processes and find new ways to solve business problems with the help of technologies. A creative approach, readiness to experiment, and the ability to turn ideas into working solutions are important here.
The team is being formed practically from scratch, with a planned headcount of 9 people. Two key areas are currently underway: automation of supplier request processing and automatic product reordering. We are looking for a Business Architect who will help shape the technical foundation of the department and be responsible for the quality and development of AI solutions.
Tasks
- Design the architecture of AI systems and ML pipelines, define approaches to selecting models, frameworks, and tools
- Evaluate the technical feasibility and risks of new AI initiatives, participate in shaping the development strategy for the department
- Develop and optimize AI/ML models for industrial operation, implement approaches to accelerate them and improve efficiency
- Lead the R&D department, set development standards and best practices, participate in code reviews
- Develop the team's technical expertise: mentor colleagues and be responsible for the technical quality and long-term development of AI products
Requirements
- Over 5 years of experience in managing IT solution implementation projects; experience in retail or logistics will be an advantage
- Higher education — technical, economic, or in the field of management
- Understanding of AI/ML solution architecture, microservices and event-driven architectures, principles of building fault-tolerant systems
- Experience with Big Data, Data Lakes/Warehouses, real-time data processing, and understanding of Hybrid Cloud infrastructure specifics
- Project and team management skills, systems thinking and ability to establish development standards and processes; knowledge of Agile/Scrum, PMP or PRINCE2 will be an advantage
