Company: Zontik IT Vacancy: Tech Lead in in-house team (Python) Salary Range: up to 400k net (Armenian Labor Code / Armenian Individual Entrepreneur) Location: MIR

**Main Tasks: **Write code (initially ~75% hands-on). Participate in technical audits, reviews, architecture planning, pattern selection. Over time – less code, more leadership (depends on team growth). **Fintech: experience is critical **(understanding requirements for low latency, high performance, synchronous security). Blockchain is also considered fintech. English: "highly desirable", but not critical (the team is currently Russian-speaking, but a transition to English is possible in the future).

**Hard skills ** Language and Runtime

• Expert Python, async-only model: asyncio, ASGI, correct operation with event loop.
• FastAPI, Pydantic, SQLAlchemy with asynchronous drivers, httpx, retry/backoff policies.

Distributed Systems Architecture

• Design of microservices with clear layering and responsibility boundaries.
• Event-driven architecture on Kafka: message contracts, versioning and backward compatibility, DLQ.
• Consistency patterns: Outbox/Inbox, idempotency, CQRS elements, end-to-end tracing of business processes between services.
• Understanding of trade-offs between synchronous and asynchronous interaction.

Data

• PostgreSQL: schema design, indexes, concurrency, connection pools.
• Redis for cache and state.
• Schema migration management and safe rollout of changes in production.

Security and Compliance

• AuthN/AuthZ: JWT, scope model, service-to-service authentication, fail-closed principle.
• Secret management, PII protection, prohibition of sensitive data in logs and metrics.
• Management of dependency vulnerabilities.

Infrastructure and Operations

• Kubernetes, Helm, containerization, CI/CD with quality gates.
• Observability: structured logging, metrics, distributed tracing, health checks.

Quality and Testing

• pytest, coverage targets, test isolation; linting and static typing; quality gates.
• Strict, technically justified code review and identification of anti-patterns.
