We are looking for a hands-on Python developer who can work end-to-end: from understanding the business task and designing a solution to independent development, testing, and deployment to production. The team is small, so there won't be a dedicated person for each stage; it's important to be able to make technical decisions independently and bring tasks to completion.
Requirements
- 5+ years of commercial Python development experience;
- Ability to independently manage tasks end-to-end: understand business requirements, propose solutions, design architecture, implement, cover with tests, and deploy to production;
- Experience in developing from scratch, not just supporting and refining existing solutions;
- Deep knowledge of System Design and the ability to make architectural decisions independently;
- Understanding of how to ensure operation idempotency, state consistency, fault tolerance, and correct error handling in distributed systems;
- Proficiency in DDD, Clean Architecture, CQRS-like patterns, understanding concurrency principles (CAS, mutex, idempotency), error recovery, and type safety;
- Experience with FastAPI, PostgreSQL, Redis, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD;
- Not afraid of production: ability to troubleshoot problems, identify bottlenecks, optimize the system, and independently bring changes to stable operation;
- Ability to independently decompose tasks and choose implementation approaches without waiting for detailed technical instructions;
- Use Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools in daily development.
