🔬Why is it interesting with us? Over 20 thousand stores, 15 million customers, petabytes of data - and all this needs to be analyzed. Every day we demonstrate that our supermarkets are actually a digital project, where Big Data and a Data-Driven approach play a significant role. In the ad-hoc analytics team, we run A/B tests offline and beyond, and every day we get more non-standard tasks that require us to use all our knowledge (or quickly acquire it), and we also do research here!

🔭What do interns do with us?

• Initially, they go through onboarding, learn the names of their mentor and team lead, and get up to speed.

• Immediately after that, they receive their first real, practical task (and DON'T suffer, as the mentor is always available) on the design or evaluation of a future experiment.

• They devise A/B test designs for stores or loyal customers and interpret their results, and also assist initiative leaders (business) with this.

• They research new approaches to evaluating A/B tests (for such a task, advanced knowledge in statistics and causal inference will be an advantage).

• They help develop the core library created for evaluating and designing A/B tests.

• They solve various ad-hoc requests (econometric tasks, forecasting models, recommendation systems, etc.).

• If you've already Googled what "ad-hoc" means and understood the essence.
• You are proficient in Python (pandas, numpy, matplotlib, and all the basic tools for data analytics), SQL (joins, window functions), and know statistics and ML basics.
• You have an analytical mindset, are observant, and successfully practice the method of intense scrutiny.
• You like memes (preferably, but not necessarily).
• Big Data knowledge will be an advantage.
