Design Lead

Hi, my name is Angelina, and I'm looking for a Design Lead for our studio.

Design Lead – develops design culture, creates design concepts, works with the team, and improves the quality of released projects. With us, you can win awards, work on meaningful projects, fine-tune design processes, and grow.

INSAIM is a digital design and web development studio. We love complex tasks, work with large businesses, and ambitious startups in the global market.

What will you be doing?

• Be a design filter: don't let obvious mistakes and bad decisions pass through to clients and projects in general.
• Manage a team of 5 designers, help other designers refine design solutions in 1:1 sessions or group design reviews.
• Be a player-coach – lead key projects in the studio. You will conduct client briefings, defend concepts and design solutions in live calls, including in English (80% of projects).
• Develop design concepts, identity, corporate style, and logos for key client projects.
• Structure and optimize design processes and the designer's knowledge base: we already have a well-established design process that the team trusts and allows us to deliver great results for the client. Your task will be to first learn to follow this process, and then start improving it.
• Participate in hiring and selecting new designers, onboarding them into processes and team design culture.
• Foster a culture of knowledge and experience sharing within the team – conduct design mornings, develop the design team's skills.
• Help the team on the marketing front – refine case studies, suggest ideas for studio content on social media.
• Charm clients in Europe and the USA – it will be important not only to follow processes and be in an expert position, but also to be able to "charm" clients with soft skills and presentation.

Immerse yourself in the team's existing processes and help us find +1 digital designer for the team.

Competencies we expect

• Experience in a design studio or agency.
• Strong skills in web design and brand design.
• English language at a confident B2 level or higher.
• You are interested and it is important for you to be at the forefront of design and technology, to search for and apply new practices of synergy between design and artificial intelligence.
• Design stack: Figma, Figma Make, Pencil, Jitter, Weavy, MidJourney, Relume, Spline.
• Development (important to understand possibilities and limitations): Framer, Webflow.
• You are already working with Figma Make, have tried it.
• Have tried code-to-design and design-to-code approaches.
• You are not afraid of new tools, you try them in your work and implement the best ones.
