Technology: Prices**

We, the Prices team, are building backend infrastructure for scenarios where Aviasales needs to quickly get information about tickets and prices without requesting external services in real time. To put it simply, we deal with ticket caches and the platform around them.

Various product scenarios outside the main search results rely on our data and services: price calendars, curated deals and hot tickets, search by nearby dates, ticket price change history, and other price slices. We don't create the product side of these features ourselves; instead, we build a platform that allows other teams to launch them faster and not have to figure out how data flows work, where and how to store large amounts of information, or what limitations specific technologies have each time.

Technically, there are many tasks here involving highload, large data volumes, analytical queries, various storage models, and performance. We use ClickHouse for analytical scenarios and various KeyValue solutions where they are a better fit. In general, we try not to tie developers to a single service or a narrow part of the system: a person gradually dives into different parts of the platform, can work with databases, services, infrastructure, and operations.

We are currently looking for a strong backend developer who is interested in working not only with business logic but also with how data is stored, processed, and quickly served under load. We are not expecting someone who knows our entire stack from day one: a good engineering foundation, Go, and the ability to quickly understand unfamiliar technology are more important to us.

Our stack: Go, Kubernetes, Kafka, Redis, Kvrocks, MongoDB, ClickHouse, ELK, Prometheus/Grafana.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain services responsible for prices of those very cheap airline tickets (minimum prices, Telegram bot, price history, and many others);
• Participate in the design and optimization of ticket caching and aggregation services, conduct research on new technologies and approaches for acceleration and troubleshooting;
• Assist product teams with these services and some infrastructure issues;
• Come up with memes for retros every two weeks.

What we expect from you

• Excellent command of Go and experience with complex services in product IT companies (we will be interested to learn about interesting engineering cases, feature ownership, independent large-scale research);
• Good understanding of the OPS part (deployment, basic kubernetes entities, Linux, etc.);
• Ability to design architecture within a service;
• Experience working with NoSQL databases.
