About the company
Looksy Tech is a B2B SaaS platform for AI products for e-commerce: virtual try-on, AI chatbots, smart search, and recommendations. We work with fashion and retail brands in the CIS and abroad. The company is registered in Dubai (IFZA), with a distributed team. We work with large e-commerce clients in the Russian Federation, CIS, and UAE.
Format
Part-time, remote. Flexible schedule, but with mandatory availability during team working hours and prompt response to tasks (daily syncs for 10-15 minutes + participation in calls like demos/brainstorms).
What you will be doing
- AI Chatbots. Deploying AI chatbot agents from scratch for clients: connecting to catalog data, configuring behavior, integrating into the website. Full cycle — from architecture to deployment.
- Smart Search and Recommendations. Configuring AI search for catalogs and a smart recommendation system for clients. Working with local models, adapting them to the specifics of each client.
- Virtual Try-On. Implementing the virtual try-on script on client websites, supporting and refining integrations, and enhancing the recommendation system for complementing customer outfits.
- Frontend. Making edits to client and in-house interfaces, developing widgets, and quickly fixing frontend bugs.
- Analytics and Product. Working with client data, analyzing product usage metrics, and proposing improvements — so that the client truly feels the value of the integration (experience with setting up end-to-end analytics and data analysis in general is welcome).
Who we are looking for
- Commercial development experience of 2+ years (middle level and above).
- Proficient fullstack: backend (Python / Node.js), frontend (React / Vue / vanilla JS — sufficient for confident UI work, not necessarily senior level).
- Experience or strong understanding of working with LLMs: prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, agent architectures, working with OpenAI / Anthropic / open-source model APIs.
- Ability to deploy and configure local ML models for search and recommendations.
- Experience with data: catalog parsing, dataset preparation, basic analytics.
- Ability to integrate JS scripts and widgets into third-party websites.
Crucially Important
- We do not hire pure "vibe coders." AI tools are acceptable as accelerators, but you must understand what is happening in the code and be able to write it yourself. If something breaks — you fix it, not wait for GPT to guess. Our main priority is the stable operation of all products for current clients.
- "I don't know how to do this" is not an option. We expect a person who understands the task and gets it done, not one who asks if it's possible. Received a task — found a way — did it.
- Product Thinking. You don't just write code according to the technical specification. You think about why the client needs it, look at the data, and suggest what can be improved.
Will be a plus
- Experience working in startups or product teams (corporate experience is not particularly encouraged).
- Familiarity with e-commerce (product feeds, CMS integrations).
- Experience deploying and supporting production services (Docker, cloud).
- Good soft skills. If you are an unpleasant person who doesn't want to put in the effort when communicating with the founder/client, you won't pass, even if you are a highly skilled developer.
Conditions
- Part-time, remote.
- Salary is discussed individually.
- Direct work with the founder — minimum bureaucracy, maximum influence on the product.
