The Smart TV platform application is, in a rough approximation, a classic Web SPA. Therefore, most of the tasks will be related to Frontend development. Our team is not responsible for databases and production backends, and all business logic is implemented using the company's common API.
How everything is arranged at Ivi:
- We use TypeScript, React, Redux, RxJS.
- We build the project using gulp and webpack.
- We use eslint to check code style.
- We write unit tests using Jest.
- We write E2E and UI tests using Kotlin and Selenium.
- We develop tools to solve development and testing problems.
- We undergo mandatory code reviews by other developers.
- We use Jira as a task tracker, communicate in Pachka, and our version control system is Git (GitLab).
- We automate routine operations.
- We support and develop an established CI/CD process based on Jenkins and Artifactory.

- We conduct regular one-on-one meetings for development and feedback.
- We encourage participation in meetups and help with preparing reports.
In the Ivi team, you will:
- Implement large (and small) strategic tasks and auxiliary tools for the IVI application for Smart TV platforms.
- Refactor and optimize.
- Test your code.
- Participate in process improvement.
- Study new technologies for their application on the platform.
Ivi's expectations from a candidate:
- Know and understand the basic principles of software development (SOLID, OOP/FP, etc.)
- Be able to work with the technologies from our stack and know how to effectively use JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Redux, Docker, etc.
- Be able to work with legacy code.
- Be able to find solutions for complex technical tasks and product features
- Be able to estimate the timeframes for your work
- Understand and share the values and principles of Agile and teamwork. Be able to listen, negotiate, and help
- Prioritize team goals
