June Sky Studios is in production on a new 5-minute hybrid 2D/3D short film based on a 37-time award-winning screenplay, and we are hiring a standalone Lead Background & Look-Dev Artist.
We are building June Sky as a premier indie studio focused on high-end visuals and community integration. The film is headed for a major international festival run, and because our animatic and camera layouts are already 100% locked, the pipeline is fully organized and ready for asset creation.
Style: Rich, painterly 2D over 3D geometry (Arcane vibe)
Scope: 4 master 3D environments + 1 vehicle asset across 80 quick-cut scenes (heavy camera reuse)
Timeline: 4 months (This must be your primary freelance commitment)
Rate: $5,000 USD (Flat, milestone-based)
