Fullstack Developer (Frontend-focused) / Fullstack Разработчик (с уклоном во фронтенд)
Novakid is an online English school for kids. The Visitor Squad is responsible for the funnel from the first visit to the paid lesson: landing pages, registration and booking, blog, and the visitor’s personal account. We measure our performance using two key metrics—visitor → lead and visitor → booking—and validate almost everything we do through experimentation.
A core role within the team: approximately 70% frontend and 30% backend. Your area of responsibility includes the visitor’s personal account, attribution and funnel tracking, server-side integrations with ad platforms, and supporting experiments. You will work within the squad's processes: planning, grooming, code reviews, sprints, and releases.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the visitor’s personal account and parts of the funnel from landing pages to booked lessons
- Own attribution: end-to-end visit tracking chains, UTM parameters, and diagnosing gaps in V2L/V2B tracking
- Build server-side integrations with ad platforms (e.g., Meta CAPI, TikTok Events API, and similar)
- Write and debug backend code in Python/Node: endpoints, caching, and server-side rendering
- Support A/B testing: rollouts, feature flags, and post-experiment code cleanup
- Investigate production incidents via Sentry and drive them through to resolution
- Monitor and optimize public page speed: Core Web Vitals
Requirements
- 3+ years of production experience with TypeScript and React
- Python and Node.js: ability to work independently on the backend—endpoints, caching, SSR debugging—beyond just a thin BFF (Backend-For-Frontend) layer
- Experience with analytics and tracking: GTM, event tracking, server-side conversion delivery. Understanding how data travels from click to report, and the ability to locate data leaks/loss
- Product mindset: working with metrics and hypotheses rather than just closing tickets
- English proficiency
Nice to Have
- GDPR and consent mechanism implementation on public pages
- Headless WordPress
- End-to-end testing with Playwright or Cypress
- SQL and BigQuery—ability to self-verify hypotheses using data
- CDN and edge caching (CloudFront or similar)
- Hands-on experience with Sentry and handling production errors
Our Tech Stack
TypeScript, React, Python, Next.js, Node.js, Express with server-side rendering via Pug, Sass and PostCSS, Vite and Gulp, MUI and an in-house design system in Storybook, Vitest, Jest, Cypress, and Playwright for E2E testing.
What we offer
- Fully remote work.
- A chance to shape the future of AI-driven education.
- A fun, dynamic team that loves building innovative products.
- Unlimited holidays – because we trust you to deliver.
Novakid — international online English school for children. Our team, Visitor Squad, is responsible for the entire user journey from the first website visit to a paid lesson: landing pages, registration, booking, blog, and visitor's personal account. Our success is measured by two key metrics — visitor → lead and visitor → booking, and we validate almost all product decisions through hypotheses and A/B tests.
About the role
This is a core team position with a frontend focus (approximately 70% of tasks) and backend involvement (30%).
Your area of responsibility: visitor's personal account, end-to-end attribution and funnel tracking, server-side integration with advertising platforms, and technical support for experiments. We work according to classic product squad processes: planning, grooming, code reviews, sprints, and regular releases.
What you will do
- Develop the visitor's personal account and key funnel stages — from the first contact on the landing page to a booked lesson.
- Be responsible for attribution: build end-to-end visit chains, work with UTM tags, and localize tracking gaps for conversions (V2L / V2B).
- Implement server-side integrations with advertising accounts (Meta CAPI, TikTok Events API, and similar tools).
- Write and debug backend code in Python and Node.js: develop endpoints, configure caching, and handle SSR.
- Support A/B tests: from setting up rollouts and flags to timely refactoring and code cleanup after the experiment is completed.
- Monitor production incidents via Sentry, quickly find causes, and drive solutions to deployment.
- Control and improve the performance of public pages based on Core Web Vitals metrics.
What we expect from you
- 3+ years of commercial development experience with TypeScript and React.
- Confident Python and Node.js skills: ability to independently solve backend tasks (API design, caching, SSR debugging), not limited to a simple BFF layer.
- Practical experience in product analytics and tracking: GTM, custom events, server-side conversion delivery. It is important to understand the entire data path from click to analytical report and be able to quickly find points of data loss.
- Product mindset: a habit of working with hypotheses, influencing metrics, and seeing the business goal behind the code, not just closing tasks.
- English language proficiency sufficient for working in an international environment.
Nice to have
- Understanding of GDPR requirements and experience implementing consent mechanisms on public web resources.
- Experience using WordPress in Headless mode.
- Skill in writing E2E tests in Playwright or Cypress.
- Knowledge of SQL and BigQuery at a level sufficient for independently verifying analytical hypotheses.
- Experience with CDN and edge-level caching (CloudFront or similar).
- Ability to effectively work with Sentry and quickly localize production errors.
