Position: Senior DS/ML Engineer for the Operations Forecasting team

This is the Operations Forecasting team.
We are involved in operational forecasting in retail: the team has many different areas — demand forecasting, courier forecasting, golden shelves, shift forecasting, and other projects that directly affect inventory management and logistics.

You will
- Develop and improve forecasting models.
- Handle the full cycle: data collection and processing, feature engineering, hypothesis generation and testing, model quality evaluation using statistical and business metrics.
- Design ML system architecture — from data pipelines to production services.
- Bring solutions to production independently: write production code, create simple API services for integrating models with internal systems.
- Communicate with clients, formalize requirements, propose and justify new approaches.
We value
- Solid knowledge of Python and standard DS libraries.
- Experience with time series and demand forecasting (or related tasks) — understanding the specifics: seasonality, intermittent demand, hierarchical data structure.
- Experience in building ML system architecture and bringing models to production, not just in research mode.
- Engineering skills: data collection and processing, pipeline construction, database work (SQL).
- Experience developing simple API services for integrating models with other systems.
- Higher education in one of the following fields: mathematics, computer science, or related.
Will be a plus
- Experience with agency development and using AI tools in daily work.
- Experience with gRPC — services in the team are typically built on gRPC, HTTP is rarely used.
