Team Lead in Finance

Our team is creating the capability to search for and select banking and insurance products. We are starting to build a large-scale project in the fintech sector that will expand the possibilities for Yandex users and make the selection of financial products more transparent for them.

One of our tasks is to create a common search structure for banking and insurance products offered by different market players, ranging from small microfinance organizations to the largest companies in the banking and insurance business. In the near future, our team is launching a new combined 'Finance' thematic section. It will be available directly under the search bar — where similar thematic sections such as Pictures, Video, Maps, Goods, and others reside.

Given the accumulated experience within the company, we see our team's mission as follows:

• To provide our users with a genuine opportunity to select optimal terms for deposits, loans, insurance, and other financial products;
• To improve users' financial literacy by implementing AI-based reference answers to informational queries;
• To offer users the ability to purchase financial products directly from the search results page.

The task is large-scale, complex, and can significantly impact the main user interaction scenarios with banks. One of our current enhancements, which is due to be released to users soon, is purchasing an OSAGO (MTPL) policy from the search results page. Right now is the perfect moment to join the project at its inception and influence its further development.

What tasks await you

Developing scenarios You will develop informational and transactional scenarios related to user queries for banking and insurance products.

Search technologies You will have the opportunity to work with the core technologies of Yandex's search engine, including machine learning.

Developing a recommendation system You will participate in developing a recommendation system based on generative technologies.

We expect you to

• Have a strong command of C++ and want to write code in it
• Know classic algorithms and data structures
• Have a deep understanding of multithreaded programming
• Have used and developed distributed systems
• Have managed a team of developers of up to five people

It will be a plus

• Understand how search engines work and how search indexes are structured internally
