About the Team
We are launching a new business direction within Avito and forming a dedicated team that will focus on search and recommendations. It will be able to leverage our existing developments and technologies, but due to the specifics of the new direction, the team will need to create new search and recommendation services practically from scratch.
Examples of Future Tasks:
- Assemble a dataset for training a ranker using LLM labeling;
- Train a ranker for ranking search listings;
- Train embeddings for vector search;
- Train a candidate generator for recommendations;
- Write code for calculating quality metrics;
- Assemble a query pool for quality assessment.
We Expect You to:
- Be more interested in developing the entire product than in improving specific models;
- Be ready to work on end-to-end features, not only training models but also conducting research, writing production code, and more.
It Would Be Great If You:
- Have experience in search, recommendations, or advertising technologies;
- Have other experience with high-load DS services;
- Have a solid education and know not only ML but Computer Science in general.
