Senior Data Scientist for Avito Real Estate Team

About the Team

The Avito Real Estate team is looking for a specialist with strong DS expertise to strengthen the new-builds team. This is one of the company's largest and most profitable directions, which helps hundreds of thousands of people find their future housing among millions of offers on the new-build market.

We are currently striving to take the unit to a new level through the application of advanced Data Science methods. Our goal is to provide the most accurate and convenient selection of offers for each client, increase conversion to deals, and help developers achieve target lead delivery indicators. That is why we are looking for a Data Science specialist who can take the selection of relevant properties to a new level.

Examples of Future Tasks:

• develop intelligent algorithms for ranking residential complexes by buyer relevance, taking into account various business rules;

• create a system for optimal distribution of requests among managers, taking into account their qualifications, current workload, and lead characteristics (customer and property parameters);

• design lead prioritization algorithms — determine which request should be processed first for maximum conversion and customer satisfaction;

• develop and implement a system for online real-time ranking of requests and residential complexes using an ML stack and adaptive models;

• use optimization methods, recommendation mechanisms, and mathematical modeling to achieve maximum business efficiency;

• work with heterogeneous data (structured tables, texts, speech data) to build comprehensive solutions.

We expect you to:

• have at least five years of experience creating and deploying models into production;

• have practical experience in recommendation systems or ranking;

• be able to write clean and efficient SQL queries;

• have experience developing production solutions with testing, monitoring, and high-load infrastructure;

• be able to clearly formulate and present complex ideas to the business and the team;

• understand classical algorithms and know the limits of their applicability;

• have worked with LLMs and know how to apply them for analysis and automation (will be a plus).
