Senior Data Scientist for Avito Ads Team

About the team

Avito Ads is a young and fast-growing advertising system within Avito. We share Avito's core mission: to help everyone improve their own life and the lives of those around them. We are faced with the ambitious task of multiplying our growth over the next few years. The Avito Ads Data Science team works on ML tasks in the field of advertising technology: from training ranking models to optimizing display and bidding strategies.

Examples of future tasks:

• develop ML models for auto-bidding;

• develop models for smart distribution of advertising budgets aimed at maximizing target actions and/or maintaining the average cost per target action;

• apply ML for end-to-end ranking;

• use ML methods for joint ranking of Avito's advertising and organic search results;

• design complex A/B experiments;

• together with the analytics team, design and analyze experiments on both the user side and the advertiser side.

We expect that you:

• have a strong command of classical ML and statistics, know how to analyze data;

• have experience with industrial application of models (from idea to launch);

• code in Python and SQL, are familiar with algorithms and data structures;

• understand that DS is not only about training models.

It will be great if you:

• code in Go;

• know how to work with large volumes of data.
