Data Scientist for the Avito Jobs (Gigs) team

About the team

At Avito Podrabotka we are creating a transactional product where businesses can post their need for contractors, and users can take on the offered shift and receive decent pay for it.

You will work in a team with developers, analysts, and managers on an early-stage product, where you will have the opportunity to have a significant impact on the product itself from a DS perspective.

Examples of future tasks:

• improve algorithms for search and recommendation mechanics;

• develop proactive search;

• develop an algorithm for optimal dispatch between shifts and contractors;

• work on differential pricing (in the future).

We expect that you:

• have at least three years of experience in Data Science;

• have worked with ranking or search tasks;

• have experience successfully implementing a project related to ranking or search in production (advertising, recommendations, search, etc.);

• have experience working with LightGBM / XGBoost / CatBoost;

• have worked with data collection and processing;

• have experience in commercial development with Python;

• can write SQL queries and debug them.

It would be great if you:

• have worked with MLFlow, Kubeflow;

• have worked with ClickHouse or Trino;

• can write in Go.
