Data Scientist for the Avito Auto team (AI car seller)
About the team
Avito Auto is the largest platform for selling used cars in Russia. Our goal is to make buying a car convenient, safe, and profitable for every user.
Our team helps solve the tasks facing Avito Auto using Data Science. We work on search, develop assistants for sellers and buyers, analyze user communications, predict listing attributes, handle Trust & Safety tasks, and much more. The tasks are diverse and directly impact the product.
We are looking for a talented DS engineer for the stream automating the work of Selecta operators.
Our long-term goal is to create an AI seller that can advise buyers on car selection and purchase via voice over the phone.
Examples of future tasks:
- develop an LLM-based agent system for the assistant;
- evaluate the quality of the agent system's work and improve it;
- develop and maintain tools for the agent;
- communicate with business and operators, understand the essence of the operations being automated;
- write and maintain a service with the agent.
We expect you to:
- have at least three years of experience in Data Science;
- have a good understanding of agent systems and experience in creating them in production;
- possess a theoretical foundation in LLM and follow the main innovations in the field;
- write good, maintainable, testable, and scalable code in Python;
- have a basic understanding of other ML algorithms (classical and main neural network architectures);
- master the stack: LangGraph, Google ADK, Hugging Face, PyTorch, CatBoost, pandas, NumPy, SkLearn, Docker.
