Data Scientist for Avito Jobs Team

About the Team

Avito Jobs is the market leader in the blue-collar segment (skilled trades).

Our goal is to develop a quality experience for all candidate segments and become the #1 platform for job search in Russia, so that every second person finds a job on Avito.

Our team helps solve the challenges facing Avito Jobs using DS. We work on search, recommendations, analysis of user communications, prediction of ad attributes, and much more.

We are looking for a talented DS engineer who will make the labor market more transparent and safer together with the Avito Jobs team.

Examples of future tasks:

• Reduce traffic to "bad" employers;

• Help improve monetization in Avito Jobs;

• Fight against unscrupulous employers, for example, identify ads with inflated salaries, determine mismatches between job descriptions and professions, separate staffing agencies from direct employers based on calls and chats;

• Conduct research and generate hypotheses that will help influence revenue and service quality in the Avito Jobs vertical;

• Participate in defending new initiatives.

We expect you to:

• Have at least three years of experience creating and deploying text models in production;

• Understand the basics of crowdsourced labeling;

• Write good, maintainable, testable, and scalable code in Python;

• Have a good understanding of ML algorithms (classical and main neural network architectures);

• Be proficient with the stack: PyTorch, CatBoost, pandas, NumPy, SkLearn, Docker.
