Senior Data Analyst for the Avito Jobs team

About the team

The AIR team in Avito Jobs is responsible for implementing an AI recruiter and integrating it into the hiring process. Currently, employers on the platform purchase responses or post vacancies, then independently call candidates, conduct initial interviews, and select suitable ones. Our goal is to change this process.

We are developing an AI bot that can take over the initial screening stage: conducting interviews with candidates, verifying skills, and, during the conversation, understanding which questions to ask and when the interview can be concluded. The project is new, and we are currently launching an MVP.

Working with us, you will directly influence the key metrics of the vertical, turning insights from data and your own ideas into real product solutions.

Examples of future tasks:

• Design and build the product's metric tree, cover everything with logging and monitoring;

• Propose metrics for the quality of the AI bot's speech;

• Devise an algorithm for selecting potentially interested applicants for our vacancies, maximize the call funnel;

• Understand and conduct an analytical assessment of the impact of our actions on the classifieds (complex tests/traffic cannibalization and other aspects).

It will be great if you:

• Have at least five years of experience in a product analyst role (Senior level);

• Possess data skills: proficient in SQL and Python (mandatory), have experience working with large datasets;

• Know and can apply mathematics and statistics to solve real-world problems;

• See the connection between mathematical formulas and their impact on the business;

• Have experience in designing and analyzing A/B tests;

• Have experience building ML models (classification, regression) for scoring, forecasting, or clustering tasks;

• Possess critical thinking and can work independently: able to independently decompose a complex and ambiguous task, propose solution options and a methodology for their validation;

• Can clearly present your findings, defend your position, and justify decisions.
