About the team: We are looking for a data analyst for the product team at Avito Travel, responsible for seller monetization and tool quality. The team develops Avito's product in the short-term rental market and creates solutions that help sellers effectively manage their listings and increase revenue. The focus is on flexible management of the base commission, development of promotion mechanics, including mailings and additional liquidity tools, as well as services with market statistics and analytics. The team is responsible for all monetization tools for Avito Travel sellers — promotions, rates, subscriptions.
Examples of future tasks: — investigate the effectiveness of current monetization mechanics and search for new opportunities for product development; — develop and analyze complex A/B tests; — evaluate the impact of implementing various monetization tools and mechanics; — build traction models; — create and improve team dashboards; — create convenient and effective analytical tools within the seller's account.
We expect you to: — know and be able to apply mathematics and statistics in solving real-world problems; — see the connection between mathematical formulas and their impact on business; — be proficient in SQL (you will need to work with large data arrays, be able to write complex queries, optimize them, and create analytical data warehouses/marts); — be proficient in Python and its libraries for data analysis; — have used BI tools in your work (we use Redash); — have experience in designing and analyzing non-trivial A/B tests and know how to speed them up (CUPED, stratification, etc.); — be able to clearly visualize data and present the results of your research, explain complex things in simple terms, and negotiate with colleagues.
