Analyst-Developer for the Lavka Offer Team

Yandex Lavka is a rapid grocery delivery service. Our team is responsible for the service's economics: we determine how prices and discounts are formed to maintain a balance between the interests of users, partners, and the business. We build demand models, optimize pricing algorithms, test hypotheses, search for optimal trade-offs between profit and growth, investigate network effects, and study customer behavioral patterns.

What tasks await you

Developing delivery pricing algorithms We are developing a system that manages prices and discounts for delivery—from basic settings to dynamic pricing and running experiments. You will be building economic models using Lavka's data, analyzing demand elasticity, searching for optimal trade-offs between profit and growth, and researching customer behavioral patterns.

Experiment analysis and growth point identification You will launch A/B tests with non-trivial network effects and apply modern statistical methods in practice, such as switchback experiments. Your decisions will directly impact key business metrics and quickly affect the service's results.

We expect that you

• Possess strong technical skills in Python and SQL
• Think critically, enjoy finding and solving problems
• Have a strong knowledge of mathematics and the fundamentals of statistics
• Can see the physical meaning behind the numbers and find the causes of phenomena
• Argue and defend your own point of view persuasively and accessibly, and listen to others
