About the Team

We are looking for an analyst for the Ad Engine development stream within the Avito AdTech analytics team.

The advertising team's goal is to grow revenue sixfold by 2028. To achieve this, we are actively working on improving the efficiency of launching and running advertising campaigns. The main product you will work with is the advertising auction, as well as internal algorithms for ad serving and efficiency.

Examples of Future Tasks:

• Improve advertising targeting mechanisms—devise ways to assess potential, test, and measure the effectiveness of new targeting options and develop existing ones;

• Develop a recommendation system for users of the Avito Ads advertising dashboard;

• Investigate the quality of ad serving, identify cases of non-optimal performance, and collaborate with product and development teams to generate improvement hypotheses;

• Conduct anti-fraud experiments—find the balance between advertising revenue and traffic quality.

We Expect You to:

• Be proficient in SQL—have experience working with large data sets, know how to write complex queries, optimize them, and create analytical data marts;

• Be proficient in Python and its libraries for data processing and analysis;

• Know and be able to apply mathematics and statistics to solve real-world problems;

• Have experience conducting A/B tests;

• Have used BI tools in your work (we use Redash);

• Be able to visualize data clearly and present the results of your research, explain complex things in simple terms, and reach agreements with colleagues.
