Product Analyst for the Plus AdTech Efficiency Team
Yandex Plus AdTech is the team that combines advertising technology, gamification, and the "Svoi Plusy" loyalty program. We develop B2C mechanics for users, advertising formats for B2B, and integrations for the entire business group of personal services. All this helps to engage and retain Yandex's active audience — and delivers measurable business results.
For Plus AdTech to work efficiently, it is important to choose what to show to each user individually, when, and under what conditions. The efficiency team is responsible for this. We develop personalization of offers and promotions on our surfaces, manage their economics (face value/threshold/conditions), and prove the effect through experiments to scale the best solutions together with the product, business, and ML teams.
Personalization of offers: what to show the user right now You will decide which promotions and mechanics to show the user on our surfaces: what, to whom, when, and in what context. You will find new points where personalization provides maximum effect in the CJM and turn them into hypotheses and launches. Together with ML and product teams, you will improve rules/ranking/models to increase relevance, conversion, and retention.
Promo code/points economics: how to earn more and not overpay You will manage promotion parameters (face value, threshold, conditions) and ensure that promotions work and spending on points/discounts is under control. You will find a balance between user happiness and financial metrics: revenue, margin, per-user efficiency. You will calculate and defend the economics of decisions based on data: where promotions truly provide an increment and where it's a "discount for the sake of a discount."
Partnership with the business: new ways to earn and proving the effect Together with product and business teams, you will devise new approaches to monetizing mechanics and offers (including for partners). You will run experiments and show the effect on partners' and business metrics — so that solutions can be scaled. You will become the go-to person who helps make the decision "do it / don't do it / how to do it better" on large volumes of traffic.
