REMOTE | PART TIME
We are looking for a technical animator to join our team for a co-op stealth horror project on Unreal Engine 5.
We need to build a two-layer character animation system:
- the local player sees a separate first-person body: hands, legs, and items;
- other players see a full character with locomotion based on GASP
What needs to be done:
- configure GASP, Motion Matching
- build third-person locomotion: idle, walk/run, sprint, crouch, jump/fall/land
- add a separate first-person body
- configure FP animations for hands and legs for basic movement states
- prepare a system for items, interactions, taking damage
- configure sockets, item holding, IK, Animation Montages
- synchronize FP and TP representations through unified game states
Important:
- practical experience with GASP
- First Person and Third Person use independent visual and animation layers
- game logic, Character Movement, collision, and inventory remain unified
- FP Mesh is only visible to the owner, TP Mesh to other players
- the system must be extensible for adding new items and actions
Desirable:
- confident work with Animation Blueprint, Retargeting, IK, and Control Rig
- experience in creating first-person animation systems
- ability to create or refine missing animations in Maya / Blender
Work format:
- piece-rate payment
- first stage — paid technical audit and a small working prototype
- evaluation, prepayment, and payment based on stage results
- possible long-term work on the project's animation system
📩 Apply:
Please send:
