Head of Engineering

BATUMI, GEORGIA 🇬🇪 📍Relocation from RF/RB 📍Batumi — office

We are looking for a Head of Engineering for a B2B software company in the online poker room industry.

Team: 5–7 people — Backend, Frontend, Security/Development, DevOps.

Main Tasks:

• Managing the engineering team; • Building delivery and development processes; • Auditing current architecture and working with legacy; • Planning and implementing gradual modernization without stopping the business; • Architectural and technical solutions; • Coordinating Development, Infrastructure, Security, and QA; • Planning team expansion and headcount; • Working directly with the CEO and founders.

What's Important:

• Experience in FinTech / Payments / Crypto; • Experience in the position of Head of Engineering / Engineering Manager / Technical Director / Head of Development / Deputy CTO or similar practical experience; • Experience managing a small technical team; • Good understanding of backend/frontend architecture; • Experience working with legacy and technical debt; • People management and headcount planning; • Understanding of application/infrastructure security; • Willingness to work hands-on and dive deep into technical issues.

Will Be a Plus:

• Startup experience; • High-load systems; • C# / .NET; • Experience working with external security contractors.

The company is small but stable and has been in the market for a long time. The main stack is C# / .NET, but the specific language is not critical. Engineering background and experience managing a technical function are more important to us.
