The quality of Yandex Search is determined by ranking — the ability to select from a vast number of documents those that will best help solve the task. Our goal is to implement LLM labeling into the tasks solved in Search ranking. We are looking for a strong technical leader to head this direction.

Search is the heart of Yandex. Its quality is largely determined by ranking — the ability to select from a vast number of documents precisely those that will best help a user or agent solve a task.

LLMs have already become an important tool for teams working with NLP. They allow for more accurate labeling, faster hypothesis testing, and a noticeable increase in model quality. The next big step for us is to implement LLM labeling on a large scale into the tasks solved in Search ranking:

• Understand user intent
• Evaluate document usefulness for a specific query
• Determine source authority, reliability, and information quality

This direction directly impacts Search quality and user experience. To implement it, we need to build a reliable and scalable process for creating high-quality labels for various ranking stages within the company's internal environment.

We are looking for a strong technical leader to head this direction. If you have built deep learning models for natural language processing and then integrated them into real products, and also have experience in team management, this position is for you!
