We are Karta.io — a FinTech (B2C, B2B) platform with high-trust virtual cards and our own crypto-infrastructure. Cards are issued in seconds, operate in 150+ geos, and can be topped up from any crypto wallet. We have been on the market for 3+ years, with a distributed team of 40+ people worldwide, and no micromanagement.
We are looking for a Lead Platform Engineer who will take ownership of the platform and infrastructure security within the team and bring it to production maturity.

Responsibilities
- AWS: networking, IAM, segmentation, encryption, secrets management, security hardening
- Cloudflare: DNS, WAF, perimeter protection
- Kubernetes (EKS) + Helm charts: operation and development of the existing cluster
- Terraform: bring IaC to a unified standard, eliminate manual changes
- CI/CD: pipelines, releases, staging environments
- Observability: metrics, logs, alerts, clear on-call duties and incident response
- Security and Compliance: preparation of controls and evidence for PCI DSS and SOC 2 Type 2 audits, addressing findings
Requirements
- Production experience with AWS and Kubernetes at an owner level, not just a user
- Terraform in production — infrastructure as code, truly
- Experience in a product company where infrastructure was your area of responsibility
- Passing PCI DSS or SOC 2 Type 2 audit — with a specific role in preparation
- English level sufficient to explain infrastructure and compliance solutions to non-engineers
