At Digitalchemy, for over 16 years, we have been creating mobile applications that make the lives of millions of people easier and brighter. Over 300 million downloads, 20 million active users, and a portfolio of 50+ applications are the result of the work of a team of 50+ specialists in 7 countries.
We believe in the formula for success: Happy Team × Happy Users × Smart Business.
Now we are looking for a Product Design Lead who will take responsibility for the development of the design direction and a team of 9 people. In this role, a mature management approach, product thinking, and a desire to work with people are especially important to us. We are looking for someone who knows not only how to define direction but also how to take responsibility for the team's results.
What is important to us:
- You have at least 3 years of experience directly managing a team of five or more designers. You know how to build the work of a department, distribute responsibility, manage priorities, and achieve results through the team. You have real cases behind you that you can share.
- You genuinely enjoy managing people and helping them grow. You know how to see employees' strengths, develop their independence and responsibility. You regularly conduct 1:1s, provide honest and constructive feedback, help with professional development, and do not shy away from difficult conversations.
- You have a strong understanding of product design for mobile applications. Your experience includes strong product cases, you have worked with growth funnels and mobile monetization. You understand UX/UI principles, the specifics of iOS and Android platforms, and can assess the quality of user scenarios and design solutions.
- You think in terms of product and business, not just design. You can explain what value a specific design solution will bring to the user and the company.
- You know how to build processes that help the team work effectively. You can identify bottlenecks and improve processes so that the team can focus on the main things.
- You have your own position, and you know how to defend it. You maintain constructiveness and make decisions in complex discussions, can reasonably disagree with colleagues or management, and propose an alternative solution.
- You know how to be a partner to the product team. You speak the same language as PdMs, PMs, analysts, marketers, and developers.
What you will be doing:
- Managing and developing the design team. Participating in hiring, onboarding, development, and retention of designers. Conducting 1:1s, providing feedback, helping employees grow and take on more responsibility. Timely resolving complex management issues.
- Developing product design considering business goals. Forming a design strategy, setting priorities, and helping the team understand how its work impacts product and business results. Identifying opportunities for improving user experience and growing key metrics.
- Organizing effective department operations. Building and improving design processes, planning resources, managing team workload, and monitoring the fulfillment of agreements. Ensuring predictability of deadlines and quality of results when working on multiple products simultaneously. Implementing AI tools and automation to accelerate prototyping, prepare design materials, and reduce routine tasks, assessing their impact on work speed and quality.
- Working closely with PdM, PM, ASO, marketing, and development. Aligning priorities, resolving emerging disagreements, and ensuring effective collaboration on products.
- Developing design culture and quality standards. Setting UX/UI standards, organizing design reviews and knowledge sharing, ensuring the integrity and quality of implemented solutions. Relying on Senior Designers to enhance the level of visual refinement of products.
What we can offer:
- An engaged and friendly team with established product development processes.
- An excellent environment for experiments with a large number of active users.
- The opportunity to participate in launching new products.
- Payment for courses for professional development.
- Medical insurance, sick pay, and sports compensation.
- A high degree of decision-making freedom and opportunities for self-realization.
- The possibility to attend and speak on behalf of the company at professional conferences.
If you are interested in developing a strong design team, as well as influencing product decisions and seeing the results of your work not only in mockups but also in business metrics – we would be happy to meet you!
