Head of Press Service
For over 15 years, the Winzavod Center for Contemporary Art has brought together leading art galleries, non-profit projects of a charitable foundation, various resident initiatives, and external projects. The Head of the Press Service's work is also directly linked to the activities of the Winzavod CCA and contributes to the foundation's mission: supporting and developing contemporary art. The candidate is required to have a full immersion in contemporary art, knowledge and understanding of the art market, and readiness for new challenges in the profession.
Responsibilities:
- Development and implementation of the communication and PR strategy for Winzavod CCA, as well as key exhibition, educational, and special projects of the institution;
- Shaping the positioning of projects and the institution in the Russian and international information space;
- Management of the press service: setting tasks, distributing workload, monitoring deadlines and quality of employees' work;
- Development and implementation control of PR plans, media plans, and content plans;
- Building long-term relationships with federal, industry, and regional media, editors, journalists, bloggers, opinion leaders, and partners;
- Initiating and implementing information and special projects in collaboration with cultural institutions, businesses, and media partners;
- Control of the preparation of all information materials: press releases, announcements, interviews, comments, texts for the website, social networks, and other communication channels;
- Organization of press previews, press conferences, public events, and accompanying exhibition openings;
- Representing the institution's interests in interaction with media and external partners;
- Monitoring the information field, managing the institution's reputation, and promptly responding to information triggers;
- Analysis of the effectiveness of communication activities, preparation of reports, press clippings, and analytical materials;
- Interaction with curators, producers, the development department, marketing, the educational department, and other departments of the institution to form a unified communication strategy.
Requirements:
- Higher education in journalism, public relations, communications, marketing, cultural studies, art history, or related fields;
- At least 5 years of PR experience, including experience in managing communications for cultural projects (culture and art only);
- Understanding of the current cultural agenda and context of contemporary art, knowledge of key artists, institutions, fairs, biennales, and professional media (mandatory);
- Experience managing a team will be a significant advantage;
- Experience in developing communication strategies and comprehensive PR campaigns;
- Excellent text writing and editing skills for various formats;
- English language proficiency at Upper-Intermediate level or higher;
- High level of self-organization, initiative, strategic thinking, leadership qualities, decision-making ability, and ability to work in a multitasking environment;
- Proficiency in media monitoring and analytics tools (Medialogia, TGStat, etc.);
- Experience with Figma, CapCut, TimePad, and modern digital tools will be an advantage.

- Experience working in major cultural institutions, museums, foundations, or festivals;
- Experience in crisis communications;
- Experience managing communications for large exhibition projects, festivals;
- Understanding the specifics of working with grantors, government, and corporate partners;
- Experience in preparing speakers for public speaking and media interaction.
