One of the largest family charitable foundations is looking for a Deputy Head of Communications (with prospects of heading the department).
Responsibilities:
Strategy and Management:
- Participation in the development and implementation of the communication strategy;
- Acting as Head of Communications in their absence, making operational decisions;
- Distribution of tasks among employees and contractors, control over deadlines and quality of execution;
- Execution of specific instructions from the General Director;
Information Campaigns for Programs and Competitions:
- Development and implementation of information campaigns for each foundation competition (announcing competitions, covering application stages, announcing winners, publishing stories of implemented projects);
- Development and implementation of information campaigns for all foundation programs and projects;
- Preparation of materials for competition participants and grant recipients: guides, instructions, templates for self-promotion of their projects;
Media and External Communications:
- Building and maintaining relationships with media representatives, partners, and counterparties;
- Organizing the preparation of responses to official inquiries and dissemination of informational materials about the foundation's activities;
- Preparation and distribution of press releases, as well as placement of information in the media and on the internet;
Press Tours:
- Organization and conduct of press tours for journalists to the foundation's sites and projects;
- Development of the press tour program: logistics, participant list, news angles, shooting and material collection points;
- Preparation of information packages for participants (press kits, briefs, speaker contacts, fact sheets);
- Ensuring post-press tour support: collecting publications, distributing additional materials, analyzing effectiveness;
Social Media (Supervision):
- Supervision of the foundation's presence on social networks: approval of the content plan, quality control of publications, and adherence to a unified visual and textual style;
- Organization of monitoring comments, inquiries, and mentions on social networks, as well as feedback from subscribers;
- Analysis of social media effectiveness (reach, engagement, growth) and recommendations for improvement;
- Coordination of prompt response to negative comments and emergency situations on social networks;
Events and Publications:
- Organization of information support and conduct of foundation events: round tables, conferences, forums;
- Management of the preparation and release of the foundation's annual report;
- Organization of the preparation of presentation materials: prospectuses, brochures, booklets;
- Ensuring support for the operation and content filling of the foundation's official website.
Candidate Requirements:
- Higher education (PR, Journalism, Communications);
- At least 5 years of experience in PR/Communications/Media;
- Successful experience in developing and implementing PR strategies and campaigns;
- Strong text writing skills (press releases, articles, comments, reports, etc.);
- Experience in organizing press events, conferences and forums, round tables, and other events;
- Interest in the field of charity; understanding the specifics of working in the non-profit sector;
- Team and contractor management skills;
- Communication effectiveness analytics;
- Excellent communication skills, ability to build relationships;
- Ability to act effectively in a multitasking environment, take initiative, and be responsible for decisions made.
