Engineer (Fullstack Developer)

Hello everyone! 🚀 Looking for someone to build products end-to-end with (from scratch).

Currently, in my free time, I'm working on a dating app. We've been working on it for almost two years: changed the concept several times, and over 1000 people have registered on the app. The app is for two platforms (iOS/Android). We really want to launch in the fall, attract the first traffic, and experiment with different creatives (we've been working on launch content for a couple of months).

Unfortunately, the person with whom we started has encountered serious health problems and has been unable to participate in the project for over four months.

❗ Therefore, I'm looking for someone with whom we can continue to build the product. Primarily, an engineer passionate about technology: someone who enjoys solving complex problems, diving deep into issues, and implementing functionality with high quality. Important: this is a story about long-term work, not about quick money and success. Essentially, I'm offering to learn how to build quality products together, collaborate effectively, and enjoy the process. If we can earn money, that's a nice to have.

Current stack: Node.js, Fastify, Drizzle, PostGIS, Docker, Redis. (The stack is not critical, it can always be rewritten). Around ~60 tables, high code quality (no spaghetti code). Simple CRUD is mostly gone; what remains are primarily complex tasks, including elements of R&D.

Why I'm doing this personally:

• Curiosity, the desire to gain new knowledge and experience.
• It's one thing to move tasks on a board and be responsible for a service or its part when there are a huge number of ready-made tools around. It's another thing entirely to be responsible for the entire product.
• It's interesting to see how far we can get solely on our own and understand our maximum potential.
• To solve complex problems: early-stage fraud detection, liveness, face matching, testing product hypotheses.
• A specific skill might become irrelevant to the job market over time, but the skill of acting in conditions of high uncertainty and creating added value for people will never lose its relevance.
