Developer in Deploy

Our group is part of Platform Engineering — we develop the infrastructural (internal) container cloud, which hosts various Yandex services. The cloud manages over 100,000 servers and more than 70,000 services — totaling over a million containers. We create the technologies ourselves: these are our own orchestrator (the closest analogue is Kubernetes) and the Porto container runtime.

We help both to launch services and to work with them: we configure load balancing, provide monitoring, collect logs, provide alerts, automatically configure sidecars, support ready-made building blocks in CI/CD, and more. We strive to ensure that Yandex engineers spend as little time as possible on launching and operations, and that the cloud resource costs are minimal.

What tasks await you

Development and support of services in Go and Python You will develop services that ensure fast and reliable deployments, autoscaling of services, integration with monitoring, integration with other infrastructure services. It is important that the services are very flexible, predictable, and controllable.

Accelerating service integration and their transparency for users and developers You will participate in creating complex architectural solutions that will allow services to be deployed predictably and reliably using complex scenarios. You will have the opportunity to apply advanced technologies to optimize workflows.

We expect you to
