We are developing an international platform that helps businesses safely and conveniently work with a large number of freelance contractors. And for contractors — to get paid for work and services quickly, easily, and without commissions.
We are currently growing rapidly and are looking for an energetic and ambitious lawyer specializing in foreign law who will take on the legal support of the company's international operations: from contracts with foreign partners to entering new jurisdictions.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and approve contracts with foreign clients, contractors, and partners
- Support the foreign legal entities of the group
- Analyze the company's entry into new jurisdictions and track regulatory changes, including personal data protection (GDPR)
- Support international payments and assess sanctions risks for counterparties and countries
- Maintain and update the company's legal risk map
- Participate in the legal assessment of new products and business models at the idea stage
Requirements
- Experience in in-house legal support for businesses operating in multiple countries simultaneously, in the international IT / SaaS / fintech / HR-tech sector
- Independent preparation and negotiation of international B2B contracts in fluent English (Legal English), understanding of common law structures: warranties, indemnities, limitation of liability, governing law, dispute resolution
- Experience in regulatory analysis when entering new markets and understanding of international settlements and banking compliance issues
- Experience in drafting and maintaining a legal and compliance risk map
- Ability to offer legally permissible solutions to the business, not just say "it's not allowed," and independence in decision-making with incomplete information
Will be an advantage:
- Experience with GDPR, DPA, and international personal data transfers
- Practical experience in UK / EU / US / Hong Kong / UAE jurisdictions
- LLM or foreign legal education
- Experience in sanctions compliance
