Game Designer with 1+ year of experience

Task We are looking for game designers for an indie studio. Those who are interested in this direction and have the appropriate experience in general. We just get together (online), come up with ideas, create, and release. Currently, we are looking for one more person for the team who loves games and knows how to design them.

It is sufficient to:

• come up with a mechanic and not break the whole game with it;
• sketch a level plan so that the level designer has something to work with;
• test the build and say: “it lags here, it’s boring here, let’s fix it”;
• write a couple of lines of dialogue if the narrative designer is unavailable;
• assign a task in the tracker so that it can be read from the first time.

If you have done any of this in commercial projects – that’s already good.

What you will be doing Everything a game designer usually does in a small studio:

• bring ideas from mind to documents, and from documents to the build;
• polish the project with everyone until it’s “not shameful to show”;
• argue until you’re hoarse, and then go for coffee and come up with something cooler;
• occasionally swear at the build that crashed out of nowhere;
• enjoy when the mechanic suddenly comes to life and you want to play it just because.

It is mandatory to have solid experience and interest in game design, or education if you lack experience. Game designers with experience working on Unreal Engine and Godot game engines are especially valued. Knowledge of English will give you a serious advantage during consideration!
