About the Company and Team
Cinimex is a software developer and system integrator. We work with TOP-20 Russian banks, retailers, manufacturing, and mining companies. For its 29th anniversary, the company has unique experience in developing software solutions and continues to develop its expertise: development on microservice architecture, machine learning and artificial intelligence, IoT, product development, and enterprise automation.
We are currently looking for a Data Engineer with at least 1 year of experience to implement a project in a major Russian bank.
Candidate Expectations
Commercial Development Experience
- Experience analyzing task requirements and implementing technical solutions within their area under mentor supervision;
- Basic programming skills in SQL and one or more languages/extensions: PL/SQL, PL/pgSQL, Python;
- Experience developing, testing, and debugging own algorithms and software components.
DBMS and Data Integration
- Experience with at least 2 DBMS: Oracle, PostgreSQL, Greenplum, or similar solutions;
- Experience with at least 2 Big Data and data processing technologies: Airflow, NiFi, Kafka, or similar tools;
- Experience with at least one classic data integration tool: ODI, IPC, Pentaho DI, SAS DI, IBM DataStage, or equivalent;
- Experience processing structured data formats JSON, XML, YAML.
Engineering Fundamentals and Tools
- Basic skills in using GitLab/Git/GitHub Flow and understanding the principles of collaborative development using Git;
- Basic administration and operational skills in Linux and MS Windows environments;
- Basic understanding of database design theory: relational and distributed databases, relational algebra, system interaction principles;
- Understanding of basic approaches to testing developed solutions and preparing technical documentation.
Work Organization
- Ability to structure technical information, estimate timelines for own tasks, and monitor their completion;
- Ability to independently search for solutions to technical problems within a task and promptly escalate blocking issues to a mentor;
- Ability to work in a project team, present technical positions with arguments, and maintain working relationships with colleagues;
- Readiness for continuous professional development, learning new technologies, and best development practices.
