We are Alventa.ai, creating an AI voice administrator for dental clinics. The agent handles incoming calls, consults patients, schedules appointments, and reschedules or cancels visits. It speaks Russian in real-time with a response latency of less than half a second. The product is already being used by clinics, and we are now expanding the team. We are looking for a Python backend developer with 1–3 years of experience.
Here, you will work at the intersection of classic backend and AI: telephony, LLM, speech recognition and synthesis, and integrations with medical CRMs. The team is small, so your code quickly gets to production, and you immediately see how it affects real patient calls.
What you will be doing
- Developing and supporting backend services in Python (FastAPI, asyncio)
- Developing the conversational agent logic: call scenarios and states, data extraction from utterances, working with LLMs
- Writing integrations with clinic MIS and CRMs (doctor schedules, patient appointments) and external APIs
- Designing REST APIs for the operator web interface and clinic admin panels
- Working with background tasks and queues (Celery / TaskIQ, RabbitMQ, Redis)
- Designing data schemas and optimizing queries in PostgreSQL
- Analyzing call logs, finding and fixing bugs in the agent's behavior
- Participating in code reviews, covering code with tests, improving the codebase
- Deploying and maintaining services in Docker on Ubuntu
What we expect from you
- Commercial Python development experience from 1 to 3 years
- FastAPI development experience and a solid understanding of async/await in Python
- Pydantic (v2): data validation, request and response schemas, configurations
- PostgreSQL: confident SQL, indexes, query optimization; experience with SQLAlchemy
- Alembic: writing and maintaining migrations
- Celery: background and scheduled tasks, retries, periodic tasks
- RabbitMQ: understanding queues, exchanges and routing, delivery guarantees
- Redis: caching, broker/backend for tasks, TTL, basic data structures
- Docker and Docker Compose: ability to build an image, set up an environment with multiple services, and figure out why it's not starting
- Git and pull request workflow (we use GitHub)
- Linux (Ubuntu) at the level of everyday tasks: logs, processes, network
- Ability to read others' code, ask questions, and bring tasks to production
Will be a plus
- Experience integrating with LLM APIs (OpenAI-compatible APIs, vLLM), prompt engineering, structured output
- Familiarity with LangGraph, LangChain, or other agent frameworks
- Experience with real-time systems: WebSocket, streaming, audio processing
- Familiarity with IP telephony (SIP, Asterisk, LiveKit) or media pipelines (Pipecat)
- Experience with integrations with medical information systems
- Pytest for tests as a routine part of your work
What we offer
- Salary 80,000–120,000 ₽ net, the exact amount will be determined after the interview
- Remote work
- Employment according to the Labor Code or as a self-employed person
- Short path from task to production, without months of approvals
- Direct impact on technical decisions: we are open to suggestions regarding stack and architecture
