We are ggsel, a marketplace for digital goods: games, software, subscriptions, and digital services.

Since 2017, we have been helping users find and buy digital content. Today, ggsel is one of the largest marketplaces in the CIS with an audience of over 15 million visitors per month. In the last year, we have grown 6 times and continue to scale, developing new directions and international markets.

We are developing a high-load product and are looking for a DevOps engineer to help ensure the stable operation of the infrastructure, participate in the platform's development, and solve complex production tasks.

Currently, the main infrastructure has already been built and migrated to Yandex Cloud. The vacancy involves developing existing high-load solutions and increasing their reliability.

We need an engineer who feels comfortable in a production environment, can independently identify the causes of problems, and make decisions during incidents.

For us, practical experience in operating and supporting services is more important than knowledge of individual tools from the stack listed. We are looking for someone who can not only maintain the infrastructure but also understand what is happening inside the system when something goes wrong.

❗️Important: we are looking for a time zone of Novosibirsk and further east (UTC+7 and beyond) or a willingness to work with a shift towards late evening to ensure coverage of night hours in Moscow time.

What we already have

• The main infrastructure migration to Yandex Cloud is complete.
• Kubernetes is used as the primary orchestration tool.
• Processes for delivering changes and operating services have been established.
• A high-load product with constant user traffic.
• A small engineering team where everyone influences the result and participates in technical decision-making.

What you will be doing

• Setting up the infrastructure ecosystem based on Yandex Cloud.
• Developing CI/CD based on GitLabCI + ArgoCD.
• Managing Managed Kubernetes via Terraform.
• Developing self-hosted solutions based on Helm Charts and Ansible.
• Supporting Managed PostgreSQL, OpenSearch, Valkey.
• Ensuring 24/7 observability and infrastructure monitoring.
• Supporting backend teams in DevOps tasks.
• Ensuring the stable operation of the production environment.
• Participating in incident investigation and resolution.
• Performing troubleshooting of infrastructure and performance problems.
• Analyzing failure causes and participating in preventing recurring incidents.
• Working with monitoring, logging, and alerting.
• Interacting with development teams when investigating problems and implementing changes.
• Participating in the automation of infrastructure processes.
• Maintaining databases and participating in resolving emerging production issues.

What is important to us

• DevOps experience of 3+ years. • Direct work with Kubernetes: 3+ years. • Proficient in GitLabCI, Ansible, Terraform, Helm Charts. • Experience with cloud providers (Yandex Cloud — ideally).

Will be a plus (nice-to-have):

• Knowledge of ArgoCD, Observability systems (Prometheus/VictoriaMetrics; OpenSearch; Grafana). • Setting up and troubleshooting web applications. Solving problems with web servers, networks, databases, etc. • Understanding of IAM/RBAC, DevSecOps. • PostgreSQL: ability to set up clusters with semi-synchronous replication and failover.
