☑️ Responsibilities
- Manage the team: hire, grow, and mentor a team of Senior PHP engineers. Build onboarding, conduct 1-on-1s, performance reviews, and ensure long-term motivation of the team members.
- Drive architecture: make key architectural decisions, design scalable PHP solutions, and maintain high engineering standards (in-depth code reviews).
- Be responsible for Delivery: build and optimize Agile processes (Scrum/Kanban), assist the team with decomposition, estimation, and task planning.
- Manage Highload and Data: design databases for high loads, profile and optimize complex MySQL queries (thousands of RPS), support analytics in ClickHouse.
- Develop event-driven architecture (EDA): design asynchronous interaction between microservices based on Apache Kafka.
- Ensure Reliability: be responsible for production stability, drive monitoring initiatives (Prometheus, Grafana), manage incident response, and conduct post-mortems.
☑️ Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience of 2+ years as a Team Lead or Tech Lead (managing a PHP team, experience in hiring and developing Senior engineers, servant leadership mindset).
- Writes PHP for 6+ years (expert knowledge of PHP 8.x, OOP, SOLID, design patterns).
- Excellent knowledge of the Symfony and/or Laravel ecosystem.
- Understands how databases work under the hood: advanced MySQL level (replication, indexes, locks, performance tuning, and concurrent access).
- Proficiently works with Redis and has real production experience with Apache Kafka and ClickHouse.
- Confident hands-on experience with infrastructure: Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Linux.
- Has experience with Go.
