✅ Chief Accountant Almaty

A dynamically developing company in the QSR (quick service restaurants) segment is looking for a strong Chief Accountant who will ensure full compliance with the Tax Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, transparency of accounting, and support for scaling.

Key tasks: • Ensuring full and timely compliance with the Tax Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan • Organization and control of tax accounting in accordance with the requirements of the Tax Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan (including correct formation of tax registers and reporting) • Formation and updating of the company's accounting and tax policies • Control of correct accounting (IFRS / Local GAAP) and financial reporting preparation • Ensuring correct reflection of operations on an accrual basis • Organization of production accounting (costing, write-offs, inventory) • Development of management accounting (P&L, unit economics of restaurants, marginality) • Control of inventory accounting, warehouse balances, and cost of goods sold within the restaurant chain • Interaction with tax authorities, support for audits • Management of the accounting team (task distribution, quality control) • Participation in accounting automation and ERP/accounting system implementation

Requirements: • Higher education (Accounting / Finance) • At least 5 years of experience as a Chief Accountant, preferably in QSR / retail / FMCG • Deep knowledge of the Tax Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan and its application practice • Experience in managing tax, accounting, and management accounting simultaneously • Understanding of production accounting in public catering (costing, write-offs, inventory) • Experience with large volumes of operations and a multi-branch structure • Confident knowledge of 1C / ERP systems • Leadership skills, systematic approach, attention to detail
