Scylla AI is looking for a technically strong QA / Solution Test Engineer to test and validate software and AI-based solutions.
The role combines hands-on QA with technical troubleshooting: deploying applications, testing functionality and stability, reproducing issues, analyzing logs, working with APIs, databases and infrastructure, and collaborating closely with development teams to ensure product quality.
Responsibilities
- Deploy and configure software solutions in Linux, Docker, and Docker Compose environments.
- Test application functionality, stability, integrations, and end-to-end workflows.
- Test REST APIs and backend services, including functional and integration testing.
- Reproduce technical issues, investigate failures, and provide clear bug reports and reproduction steps.
- Analyze application and system logs and troubleshoot technical issues across application and infrastructure layers.
- Work with SQL and NoSQL databases to validate data and investigate application behavior.
- Use browser developer tools to troubleshoot web applications and frontend/backend interactions.
- Perform basic network troubleshooting, including connectivity, ports, protocols, and service communication.
- Collaborate closely with developers and engineering teams to identify root causes and verify fixes.
- Create and execute test scenarios, regression tests, and integration checks.
- Use Git for test-related work and collaboration.
- Contribute to improving QA processes, test coverage, and overall product reliability.
- Develop and maintain automated tests using Python and pytest, where applicable.
