A new Product Owner position has opened up.

We are looking for a Product Owner – Billing to develop the billing domain within a financial product. This role sits at the intersection of product ownership, financial operations, billing logic, and interaction with engineering teams. The specialist will be responsible for billing engines, invoicing, fee calculation, settlements, collections, accounting integrations, reconciliation, and revenue reporting.

The main goal of the role is to make all financial transactions accurate, transparent, auditable, and scalable as the business grows.

Key tasks: ▪️ Own the billing roadmap and product backlog. ▪️ Formulate requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for the engineering team. ▪️ Prioritize tasks considering business impact, operational efficiency, and regulatory requirements. ▪️ Design and improve billing workflows for financing products. ▪️ Work with logic for fee calculation, interest accruals, penalties, extensions, refunds, and adjustments. ▪️ Define invoicing logic and payment allocation logic. ▪️ Monitor the accuracy of customer balances and transaction histories. ▪️ Improve collections and repayment tracking capabilities. ▪️ Formulate requirements for reconciliation between internal systems, payment providers, banks, and accounting platforms. ▪️ Reduce the number of reconciliation exceptions and manual operational work. ▪️ Define reporting requirements for Finance and Management. ▪️ Support audit and regulatory reporting requirements. ▪️ Participate in backlog grooming, sprint planning, testing, and release activities. ▪️ Collaborate with QA on the accuracy and reliability of billing functionality. ▪️ Track product performance and operational KPIs.

What's important: ▪️ 3+ years of experience in Product Management, Product Ownership, or Business Analysis. ▪️ Experience with billing, payments, accounting, lending, or financial systems. ▪️ Understanding of fee calculation, invoicing, settlements, collections, or reconciliation processes. ▪️ Experience working with APIs and engineering teams. ▪️ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. ▪️ Understanding of financial reconciliation and reporting processes. ▪️ Experience in fintech, lending, banking, or payments will be a significant plus. ▪️ Ability to translate complex financial and operational logic into clear product requirements. ▪️ Attention to detail, as the role is directly related to billing accuracy, revenue leakage, and financial reporting.
