About the team
We are responsible for reporting, accounting, planning, and financial analytics. With our help, Avito became the first IT company in Russia to transition to tax monitoring.
You will be responsible for:
- processing primary accounting documents, checking them for compliance with Russian legislation and contract terms;
- conducting operations related to sales and receipts;
- monitoring VAT on sales and received advances;
- monitoring settlements with counterparties, performing reconciliations of mutual settlements, including those under agency agreements, acquiring agreements, claims, etc.;
- analyzing and approving contracts and primary documents regarding financial and tax risks;
- approving payments and claims;
- analyzing internal policies and regulations for compliance with current processes and the need for their updating/optimization within your area of responsibility;
- participating in the preparation and submission of documents and information to external auditors and tax authorities;
- participating in the preparation and compilation of accounting, statistical, and tax reporting;
- participating in the automation of accounting processes, including in connection with the implementation of new business projects;
- participating in the development of regulations, recommendations, and local regulatory acts (provisions, orders, directives) within your competence regarding the recognition of revenue, settlements with suppliers and buyers, as well as other settlements.
We expect you to have:
- higher education in economics or finance;
- at least three years of experience in a similar company;
- knowledge of the norms and requirements of accounting and tax legislation for primary accounting documentation, basics of civil law;
- knowledge of criteria for recognizing income and expenses, assets and liabilities — in accordance with Russian tax and accounting standards;
- ability to work with large volumes of information in a multitasking environment;
- experience in cross-functional collaboration;
- proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint;
- experience with 1C (preferably version 1C:Enterprise 8.3).
