We are looking for a Lead Mechanical Systems Engineer for a data center in the city of Sasovo, Ryazan Oblast. We need someone with excellent knowledge of ventilation and air conditioning systems.

Scope of responsibilities: technical maintenance of the data center (DC), working with documentation and reports, commissioning works (C&W), team management, and interaction with related departments.

What tasks await you

• Ensure the operation, maintenance, and timely repair of mechanical systems equipment at the DC
• Make decisions within delegated authority
• Develop calendar schedules for the repair of mechanical equipment and automation systems at the DC
• Monitor compliance with occupational health and safety rules and operating instructions for mechanical equipment at the DC
• Improve work organization, introduce new progressive methods for the repair and operation of mechanical equipment
• Represent the company's interests in interactions with contractors and other third parties
• Prepare requests for the purchase of mechanical equipment, consumables, and spare parts and perform the necessary calculations for them
• Participate in the development of plans for the prospective development of the DC's mechanical systems, in the preparation of proposals for reconstruction, technical re-equipment, implementation of automation tools for production processes, in the review of DC reconstruction projects, and in the preparation of technical specifications for the design of new and reconstruction of existing mechanical systems
• Participate in the development of operating instructions and emergency procedures for DC duty engineers
• Organize the exchange of experience in the operation of mechanical equipment, resource savings, and rational use of resources, including regularly publishing articles on the company's internal resources
• Improve professional qualifications
• Organize training for DC personnel on the operation of mechanical equipment
• Monitor the availability of as-built documentation for installed systems and occupational health and safety instructions on site, keep documents up to date
• Participate in the preparation of the plan and schedule for commissioning works (C&W)
• Provide conclusions on developed projects, participate in tests and acceptance of mechanical equipment
• Initiate the conclusion of contracts for equipment service maintenance and other contracts in the interests of DC operation, monitor their execution
• Analyze the technical and economic performance indicators of mechanical equipment, accidents, and their causes
• Manage engineers involved in the maintenance of mechanical equipment at the DC, organize the improvement of their qualifications
• Assist in organizing and conducting works for the operations departments of other company DCs

We expect you to

• Have a higher technical education — preferred specializations include ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration and cryogenic engineering, automation, industrial and civil engineering
• Confidently know engineering systems of ventilation, air conditioning, cooling, water treatment, and hydraulic systems
• Know the rules for working in electrical installations — preferably holding a valid permit of any term
• Be proficient in AutoCAD

It will be a plus

• Have managed a team of technical specialists of 2–3 people
• Have experience in operating mechanical systems at large facilities
