Data Center IT Specialist

Yandex is looking for a specialist who will work with server and network equipment in a data center: check configurations, conduct fault diagnostics, install and configure equipment.

What tasks await you

Installation, maintenance, troubleshooting You will solve tasks from system administrators and network engineers, maintain a fleet of servers, install and commission server and network equipment. In addition, you will need to communicate with specialists from related departments to jointly solve emerging problems.

We expect that you

• Have worked with PCs or network equipment, repaired mobile devices
• Have a good understanding of PC hardware, principles of operation and technical specifications of components
• Are willing to learn, including independently, and strive for professional and career growth
• Are sociable and proactive
• Are meticulous and thorough

It will be a plus if you

• Have a relevant education
• Have tested, repaired, assembled, or configured PCs
• Have an electrical safety clearance group
• Have a command of technical English at a writing and reading level
• Know TCP/IP networking technologies
• Are familiar with Linux and Unix OS
• Can program in scripting languages
• Have a sense of humor
