The main goal for this position is to formalize the team's operational activities and working rules into measurable processes.
Responsibilities
- providing L2-level technical support to users of workstations running the Linux OS
- processing and resolving incidents escalated from L1, in accordance with corporate SLAs and ITSM regulations
- diagnosing and resolving non-standard problems and operating system failures
- independently identifying abnormal OS behavior and operational deviations, analyzing causes, and preparing recommendations to prevent recurring incidents
- interacting with related teams on issue resolution
- analyzing diagnostic data and participating in incident investigations.
- escalating incidents requiring in-depth analysis to the L3 level (development team) with full information on diagnostics performed and actions taken
- maintaining and updating the knowledge base, preparing instructions and standard solutions.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience in Linux support or administration
- experience with the Linux OS, including: general understanding of system architecture, processes and their management, file systems and permission models, systemd and service management, working with package managers and repositories, troubleshooting using standard system utilities, understanding of network protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, proxy, firewall, 802.1x)
- experience with directory services (MS AD): configuring Linux clients for operation in a domain environment, diagnosing authentication and authorization problems
- experience developing scripts using Bash and/or Python.
- experience with the git version control system.
- understanding of information security principles in a corporate environment (e.g., certificates, LUKS encryption, TPM, secure boot)
- experience with Service Desk systems and compliance with ticket processing regulations.
- experience with Jira and Confluence (managing tasks, documentation, and knowledge base)
- advanced skills in log and diagnostic data analysis
- experience supporting user equipment in a corporate environment
