Data Center Operations Engineer
About the Team
The DC team is responsible for server operations and ensures the uninterrupted operation of data centers. We install and maintain equipment, commission new capacity, and monitor the stability of the entire infrastructure. The team controls every server, from installation to decommissioning, ensuring prompt response to any issues.
Your Responsibilities:
- Assembly and upgrading of server equipment;
- Installation and commissioning of server equipment;
- Installation, diagnostics, and troubleshooting of SCS (Structured Cabling Systems);
- Initial configuration of server equipment;
- Deployment of servers based on Linux systems;
- Technical maintenance of server equipment, diagnostics, and subsequent component-level repair;
- Monitoring and control of key data center and server metrics;
- Interaction with parts suppliers within warranty frameworks;
- Interaction with internal customers;
- Maintaining technical documentation in Confluence, managing tickets in Jira;
- Keeping records of consumables.
We Expect You to:
- Understand how network services and the basic IP stack work;
- Have experience installing Debian-like operating systems;
- Possess basic Linux skills;
- Know the main server equipment lines from leading manufacturers;
- Know how to update equipment firmware;
- Be ready for travel-based work (all data centers are within the Moscow Ring Road, Moscow).
It Would Be Great If You:
- Know how to work with configuration management systems (Puppet, Ansible, or similar);
- Have experience with provisioning systems (Razor or similar);
- Understand the principle of Clos networks (Spine-Leaf architecture).
