To further enhance our capabilities and ensure strategic alignment of our data initiatives, we recognize the need for a dedicated Head of Data Science. This role is crucial for driving our data strategy, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making, and leading a team of dedicated data scientists. The Head of Data Science is instrumental in identifying new opportunities for leveraging data, ensuring the quality and integrity of our data products, and maintaining our competitive edge in the market.

This role implies both individual contribution to production code and managing/coordination role to focus Data Scientists team effort to deliver a business solution and developing capabilities.

Your responsibilities:

• Build D&A analytical capabilitues as a customer centric service delivering relevant and actionable in-sights for business challenges throughout analytics based on data science principles. Continually improve the service by integrating customer feedback and their evolving needs.
• Build a strong alliance with key business leads, create a constant appetite and understanding of the business value of the in-sights built on data and analytics, set the right and realistic expectations, deliver insights leveraging data visualization and data story telling technics, automate decision making, follow up on the findings and recommendations.
• Lead the team of Data Scientist, coach, support their development, establish well balanced team of internal and external resources capable to react on fluctuating demand of analytics requests and deliver according the expectations.
• Ensure effective and efficient allocation of the resources around the selected and prioritized analytics projects having agile principles in mind.
• Efficient operation in PMI environment, budgeting, governance structures and processes, information systems and organizational landscape.
• Keeping track of industry standards and developments, ability to bring in new technologies, algorithms and frameworks.

Who we’re looking for:

• College/University degree - Ph.D in relevant sphere (Mathematics, Computer Sciences) or equivalent
• 7+ years’ experience in Data Science with proven record of successful lead of Data Science teams.
• Working in PMI affiliates is a plus.
• Programming languages: Python, SQL Other languages (R, Scala, PySpark) as a plus
• CI/CD principles: Software developing testing Software versioning (with Bitbucket) Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
• AWS stack, Proficiency with LLM.
• MLOps: machine learning operations for deploying and maintaining models in production.
• Data Governance: Knowledge of data privacy, security, and compliance issues.
• Agile methodologies and a hypothesis-driven approach.
• Independence in conceptualizing, formulating, prototyping, and implementing algorithms to address business challenges
• Proficiency in English, spoken and written with ability to present
