We are looking for a Development Team Lead to join our team
Product: Selena Data Platform, registered in the unified registry of Russian software.
Our stack: C++,Java,Linux,SQL,CBO,MPP,BDB JE, S3/HDFS,Iceberg,bRPC, Thrift,Protobuf,Distributed systems,Indexing,Compaction,Columnar storage,Vectorized query execution.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the development team: decompose and distribute tasks, conduct code reviews, be responsible for the final result.
- Develop the team: provide technical expertise, recruit developers.
- Participate in the development of the most complex low-level components.
- Design complex architecture.
- Make key technical decisions.
- Be responsible for the performance, fault tolerance, and quality of the system.
We expect
- You enjoy the role of a "Player-Coach" who not only manages the team but also actively participates in development.
- Commercial development experience of 6+ years in C++ and Java.
- Emphasis on expert proficiency in C++ (17/20).
- Java 17.
- Experience in creating or deeply optimizing engines, query planners.
- Understanding of columnar storage, indexing principles, and data compression/compaction algorithms.
- Understanding of multithreading principles and low-level memory management.
- Linux: command-line proficiency, knowledge of basic commands.
- Good knowledge of SQL: query writing.
- Understanding of network interaction and RPC frameworks.
Will be a plus
- Experience with: bRPC, BDB JE, S3/HDFS, Iceberg.
- Experience in developing products "from scratch".
