We are looking for a Team Lead to join our development team
Product: Selena Data Platform, registered in the unified register of Russian software.
Our Stack: C++, Java, Linux, SQL, CBO, MPP, BDB JE, S3/HDFS, Iceberg, bRPC, Thrift, Protobuf, Distributed systems, Indexing, Compaction, Columnar storage, Vectorized query execution.
What you will be doing:
- Manage the development team: decompose and distribute tasks, conduct code reviews, be responsible for the final result.
- Develop the team: technical expertise, developer selection.
- Participate in the development of the most complex low-level components.
- Design complex architecture.
- Make key technical decisions.
- Be responsible for the performance, fault tolerance, and quality of the system.
We expect
- You enjoy the role of a "Player-Coach" who not only manages the team but also actively participates in development.
- Commercial development experience of 6+ years in C++ and Java.
- Emphasis on expert-level C++ (17/20) proficiency.
- Java 17.
- Experience in creating or deeply optimizing engines, query planners.
- Understanding of columnar storage, indexing principles, and data compression/compaction algorithms.
- Understanding of multithreading principles and low-level memory management.
- Linux: command-line operation, knowledge of basic commands.
- Good SQL knowledge: query writing.
- Understanding of network interaction and RPC frameworks.
Will be a plus
- Work experience with: bRPC, BDB JE, S3/HDFS, Iceberg.
- Experience participating in product development "from scratch".
